The Regional Development and Protection Program (RDPP III) is looking for additional partnerships for phase III. The call is limited specific sectors and geographies as follows:

·         Livelihoods Support with a specific focus on localised responses and integrated market systems development programming for Jordan only

·         Gender Equality with a specific focus on supporting national capacities in Jordan only

·         Prevention and Response of Child Labour – concept notes will be accepted for Lebanon only

RDPP III call for concept notes for new partnership is now open until 1^st of March 2023, at 12:00 noon Beirut time. RDPP III focuses on four specific objectives (described in the program document and its annexes):

• •          SO1: Livelihood Support
  •          SO 2: Gender Equality and Prevention of Child Labour
  •          SO 3: Advocacy and Policy Dialogue
  •          SO 4: Localisation

RDPP III will engage in operational partnerships under SO 1 and 2 in Jordan and Lebanon, while partnerships under SO 3 may cover engagements with a broader geographical focus related to the Syrian displacement crisis and as per the priorities and directions defined in the Program Document. The cross-cutting SO 4 can be an integrated part of any of the proposed projects, but should not be the sole objective for a project.

Applicants need to:

• •          Download the document detailing the call for concept notes for new partnerships and the application process with the concept note template here, and submit it together with two mandatory annexes (Annex 1: Logical framework, Annex 2: Lead applicant background information).
  •          Study the RDPP III program document, results framework and related annexes

Applications must be submitted to RDPP via email to: rdppme@um.dk no later than 1^st of March 2023, at 12:00 noon Beirut time. For questions related to the call, applicants can send an email to rdppme@um.dk no later than 19^th of February 2023. Answers to questions will be published regularly on the RDPP website under the news section. The final answers will be uploaded on 22^nd of February 2023.

Localization of Aid in Jordan and Lebanon: A Longitudinal Qualitative Study (December 2022)

The European Regional Development and Protection Programme (RDPP) commissioned a qualitative, longitudinal study on the localization of aid in Jordan and Lebanon with two objectives. First, the study set out to examine the progress, challenges, and opportunities of localizing aid in Jordan and Lebanon from the viewpoint of national and local civil society organizations (CSOs), to contribute to the wider discussion on the localization of international aid. Second, the study provides a basis for internal learning on RDPP’s approach to localization and capacity development.

RDPP Livelihood Learning Study - Lebanon, Jordan and Iraq (November 2022)

RDPP II partners implemented projects with the objective of contributing to the access of sufficient, safe and sustainable livelihood opportunities for displacement-affected populations, following four approaches: 

1. Support to private sector with a view to create new and decent jobs

2. Employability skills development followed by job placement or internships 

3. Support to establish home-based and microbusinesses

4. Support for self-employment

The main objective of this learning study is to generate evidence-based insights on livelihood interventions by highlighting best livelihood practices, analysing influencing factors leading to intended and unintended results, strategies applied for livelihood engagements and overcoming challenges.

In addition, the study looks at partners’ adaptations, advocacy and policy pathways to adjust to the contexts and improve the impact of livelihood interventions.

Annual Report, 2016

The RDPP Annual Report which was submitted to its steering committee of donor representatives. It mainly includes a narrative progress report, financial reporting, and the General Results Framework which is an overall framework of thematic outcome level indicators per theme, encompassing all the duration of the programme.

MID-TERM REVIEW, 2016

This is the external Mid-Term Review (MTR) of the RDPP which was conducted in May/June 2016. It is structured around four levels (strategic, operational, partnership and visibility).
